Teaching the Tough Stuff: Holocaust, Genocide, and Other Difficult Subjects
This session is for secondary E/LA and Social Studies teachers (grades 6-12) who want to deepen knowledge of established best practices, resources, and age-appropriate expectations for teaching students about the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, and other challenging subjects. The program is designed to help teachers both plan for and meet the requirements of Michigan Public Act 170 of 2016 that mandates genocide education.
This program is free to AIMS member faculty. Non-AIMS may attend for $30.
