Celebrating more than 150 years of educational excellence in Michigan, the Academy of the Sacred Heart is a unique educational institution in the Detroit metropolitan area. It is part of a network of 21 Sacred Heart schools in the United States and Sacred Heart educational facilities in 44 countries.

We prepare our students to take their places as leaders in the community, corporations, schools and homes around the world.

Coeducational classes in Preschool through Grade 4 offer three different school divisions (Preschool, Primary School, Lower School) focusing on the wide span of developmental needs of these formative years.

We offer a Middle School for Boys and a Middle School for Girls in Grade 5 through Grade 8 and an Upper School for Girls in Grade 9 through Grade 12. Each program adapts curriculum, student activities, retreat and extra curricular programs to maximize the potential of each student.

Our 44-acre campus in Bloomfield Hills includes a nature center, natural science areas, the skating pond, the tennis courts, playing fields and a new, multi-sport Field House.

Students represent a wide range of socio-economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds. They are provided with experiences that create both a strong foundation for faith in God and opportunities to experience faith in action through community service programs.

Approximately 60 percent of the student and faculty body is Roman Catholic, with a legacy of respecting and treasuring the religions of the world represented in our school community.
