Description |
The International School is a fully accredited, independent, non-profit educational day school providing a multi-lingual International curriculum for Junior kindergarten through Grade 8. Through the use of intensive language immersion beginning as early as Kindergarten, students develop fluency in languages in addition to acquiring an understanding of multi-cultural attitudes, differences and their importance to a world society.
The curriculum is college preparatory with enrichment in the cultural arts and foreign languages. Currently the school offers English as a foreign language for non-English speaking children, as well as, the principal language of instruction and provides comparable experiences in French, German, and Spanish.
American children together with those from other nations comprise the unique atmosphere of a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment that looks ahead to the world of tomorrow. Our low student teacher ratio of seven to one establishes the foundations for the educational success of the learning program. No prior foreign language is required for admission to the school.
